Response to the result of Consumer Council’s Mask Test

CASETiFY expresses its disappointment following its notification of test results carried out by Hong Kong Consumer Council today. The Company wishes to emphasize that they use only qualified local mask manufacturers meeting the standards of ISO 14644-1 Class 8 for mask production, ensuring face mask products are produced in accordance with the safety standards set by the European Union.



In order to ensure the safety of consumers, the company has carried out a number of mask tests through government-accredited laboratories with bigger testing sample size compared with that carried out by Hong Kong Consumer Council. The results reported have consistently reached the standards set by the European Union, of which Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) is higher than 99.5% and the Bioburden less than 30cfu/g on average.



Product quality is always the primary consideration of the company. To help alleviate concerns, mask products are temporarily being taken off the shelves until further notice. Consumers who have purchased CASETiFY disposable masks from 1 January 2022 onwards can apply for a refund (on or before 15 September 2022) by submitting their purchasing records (e.g. order number, receipt) in the following ways:

We strive for the highest level of quality control and supervision. We would like to express our disappointment for the result of the Consumer Council’s test, which shows a discrepancy with the test results conducted by our company previously. The results of testing could potentially have been impacted by transporting and/or storage conditions, or potential procedural differences during the testing.
