Q: How do I dispose of my CASETiFY phone case?
A: We strongly encourage you to join us on our #MissionToZero (zero waste, that is), and make the effort to recycle or compost your CASETiFY phone case. To find a compost facility near you, please visit the U.S. EPA website or check out FindAComposter.com. If you're located in the U.S. or Hong Kong, send us your old case and we'll give you 15% off your next order. Hong Kong customers can also bring their old cases to CASETiFY retail stores to get a 15% off voucher.
Q: Do you only accept CASETiFY phone cases for recycling? What about other brands?
A: We accept all phone cases! Follow the same process to return an old case from any brand, and you'll get 15% off your next CASETiFY purchase.
Q: Do you also accept other tech accessories for recycling?
A: For now, we only accept phone cases and AirPods cases for recycling and disposal. Just ship them to us and we'll recycle and upcycle them into new cases! And remember: our compostable AirPods cases and compostable iPhone cases will decompose fully in the right facility.
Q: Which recycling organization do you work with?
A: In the U.S., we work with TerraCycle, an innovative company on a mission to find a way to recycle everything, including hard-to-recycle materials. In Hong Kong, we recycle through E-Tech Management. Through these recycling experts, we can collect and recycle almost any form of waste — and with your help, we could divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills.
Q: How can I learn more about recycling?
A: The science of recycling is all about recovering the materials that an object is made of. For example, recycling a used pen involves shredding it, separating the materials inside, and then melting those materials into raw materials that can then be used to make new recycled products. By volume, TerraCycle recycles more than 97% of the waste that we collect. You can learn more about the process at terracycle.com.
Q: Which regions qualify for RECASETiFY?
A: For now, we only offer RECASETiFY in the U.S. and Hong Kong. We're planning to add more regions to our program soon, so stay tuned for updates!
Q: What do I do after find a composting facility near me? Do I just ship my case there? Should I take any further steps?
A: With the launch of RECASETiFY, we recommend you ship any accessories from the CASETiFY CONSCiOUS line to our assortment center, where we'll ship them in bulk to the designated composter in the area.
Q: What will CASETiFY do with my old phone case?
A: As we receive old cases, we sort them into three categories — recyclable, compostable, and non-recyclable. Then we ship the cases to TerraCycle to recover the materials that make up each individual case. With its closed-loop system, TerraCycle can reproduce materials and turn them into new products.
Q: Is it free to ship my case back to CASETiFY?
A: Not at the moment. You can purchase stamps at your local post office or use another courier to ship your old phone case to us.
Q: How many accessories can I send back for recycling?
A: Send us as many phone cases and AirPods cases as you'd like, and we'll take care of the rest!
Q: Can you tell me what materials my case is made of, so I can recycle it myself?
A: Since CASETiFY is known for a wide range of custom accessories, our cases also feature a long list of various materials. Our most popular style, the Impact Case, is made from TPU. To make sure your case gets properly recycled or disposed of, and we'll handle it from there — and give you 15% off your next purchase!
Q: Do I get anything for sending back my case?
A: You'll get 15% off your next purchase — and the peace of mind that your case is being properly taken care of.
